About this Costume
Construction Details:
This was my first big satin stitching project. I'm not exactly pleased with how it came out but I learned a lot doing it. The green is all costume vinyl since I couldn't locate a dark green that I actually liked and eventually ran out of time in trying to order it. The silver trim is also vinyl. The maroon is all tafetta that I embroidered the design onto. I couldn't find the color and size of beads I wanted for the strands that went around the costume so I ended up incorporating butterfly glass beads into it to match the butterfly theme on the two costumes in the image. The claws are wonderflex and the mask is model magic and craft foam.

Personal Thoughts:
I started Code Geass when it first came out and decided I wanted to cosplay Lelouch right off the bat. I actually wanted to do Zero's outfit but was a fairly new cosplayer at that point and didn't know how to attempt it. Well, I ended up not finishing season 1 as I got distracted by other things. Then I was asked to be a part of a Code Geass group and I finally got motivated to finish the series and chose a costume. And knowing how obsessed I am with CLAMP designs, its no surprise I pick one of the images that you basically only get hints about what the costume actually looks like.
