Personal Thoughts:

I always try to do something Disney each Halloween! Jon and I really wanted to do Tangled, but didn't really have the funds to do it right, so we figured it could wait till next year, haha. So! Here's the costume breakdown!

I got the shoes from a wig and goodies store (where I get a lot of my cosplay knick nacks, haha). The pants are made from a faux silk material I got at Joanns Fabrics. I used a Simplicity "genie costume" pattern that I modified slightly (basically took all the fringe and things off and make the waistline V more). It was slightly see through so I wore some blue nylons underneath. The top I made by studying Jasmines top and trying my hand at drafting my own pattern for the first time, haha. I think it came out okay? I had to wear those little nipple pasties in leui of a bra though, cuz I didn't account for the size of the padded strapless I have when I made the top.. doh! The sheer sleeves I actually got from gutting the sheer underskirt fabric of a prom dress we found at a thrift store a long time ago. The necklace and earrings Jonathan made out of fimo clay (he is getting so good at that stuff) and I painted them gold. The wig is a regular black wig that I covered in hair extensions to give it the round shape and long tail. I made the hairband out of my scrap fabric and a blue jewel my friend gave me for the costume. ^_^ I did my makeup using a "Jasmine Make Up" tutorial I found on YouTube.. and it was my first time I wore false eyelashes! lol.

We did the photoshoot at some random business buildings down the road from where we live. It was a weekend so they were closed.. but we still got people asking for pictures and waving at us like crazy lol! The props (fabric and rug) my friend gave to us for shoot.. super sweet because I think it makes the photos nice!
