About this Costume
Construction Details:
I modified a shirt pattern for the lab coat which is fully lined, and aside from the front pockets, everything is sewn using my new serger!

Personal Thoughts:
ANIME OF THE YEAR. This show is special to me and will always hold a place in my heart, because of the memories shared with awesome friends. CHAN MIO is my favorite character, but I decided to do Hakase instead because I have the bestest prop, my very own Sakamoto-san! 8D I will have to make or commission a plush version though, as my cat is definitely not con (or people...) friendly.
Wig Details
Wig Brand
Cosworx / Cosplay.com
Wig Name
Ivy
Styling Time
2-3 hours
Wig Quality Rating
3 / 5.00
Styling Notes
I trimmed the bangs up, and styled the longer side bangs with got2b Spiking Glue. I decided to go with natural looking front bangs, instead of the piece-y anime looking ones. The bangs took longer than usual as the fibers did not want to stay in place, because of the button style skin top. ^^; I wanted to make sure I had her ahoge, which is cut into the wig in the center back.
Wig Review
Cosplay.com really built up my expectations of their new wig line (this is how many times now? lol), so I finally took a chance and picked one up during one of their 50% sales. Immediately after taking the wig out of the bag, it started shedding like crazy, and I was really disappointed with how thin the wig is in comparison to other USA based sellers. The wig cap is also unusually small and fits weird. Overall, the quality is decent for the price (wait for their sales like I did!!) just be prepared to sew in wefts if you're looking for thickness, dealing with a small wig cap, and hoping you don't get screwed over by their terrible customer service. ^^;
