Construction Details:

The costume was really rushed and crappy due to lack of time ^^u It was basically a simple dress without sleeves made with faux fur in two different lenghts and with added pink accents. The stripes were painted, and the cat ears made by myself as well with the same fur and EVA foam. I also made the bows myself and styled the wig. Makeup was done by my sister.

Personal Thoughts:

EDIT: OHMYGOSH I still cannot believe it no matter how many days have passed... but I actually won the contest and an autograph from Shokotan! *O__O* She liked the dreamy atmosphere and the fact that my cat also cosplayed. Thanks, Shouko-san! :__3

This was a horribly rushed, ugly and crappy costume with only one motive: participate in a cosplay contest organized by one of my favorites singers, the otaku idol Shouko "Shokotan" Nakagawa.

Even if I knew that I wouldn't have a chance of winning her autograph, I wanted to participate anyway to prove that there are people who love her in different and far off countries such as mine. I chose the humanized version designed by herself of one of her cats, Negi, since it was one of the easiest and less expensive options. From the very beginning, I intended to take a couple of shoots with my own cat, Kimera, since I figured she'll like that. And because she's very similar to another one of her cats, Luna XD

Even though I didn't have much time to do this and it looks awful (much like any generic "nekogirl" cosplay XD), I had a fun time making a little photoshoot with my cat and my sister, who also helped me with the eye makeup ^^ And, of course, showing the love for Shokotan ^3^

Styling Notes

The wig was the horrible little monster that was used for my sister's Kanmuri costume (http://www.cosplay.com/photo/1626788/). I straightened the hell out of it and (be careful and don't use this method on good wigs) muted its shine with acrylic paint (this also helped in matching the color of the wig with that of the two extensions I used for the side bangs). I then styled it and added the pigtails, bows and cat ears.
