Construction Details:

Made for Dragoncon 2011.

Started out by making a plain black leotard, and a blue cape out of crinkle cotton. Added batting to the cape shoulders for some lift - the cape snaps onto the leotard.
Most of the "armor" accessories are plastic. The chestpieces velcro onto the suit. The belt I bought and made the accessories for, and modified some store-bought swords and daggers.
The boots I had, I made boot toppers for them out of black vinyl, covered in strips of various fabrics. They snap up the back.
The giant sword my husband made out of insulation foam.
