About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
The armor pieces are almost all wonderflex that's been spray-adhesived then covered with thin shiny white spandex. I drafted the armor in bristol paper, first, to get the shape right. Then I used this super uber thick double-sided fusible interfacing for the hat, skirt, and the back panel and it was very useful for the pieces that needed flex. My middle and ring finger are stuffed into one finger on my gloves, with the other ones sewn thickly and stuffed dense. The illusion of the feet was created via clear heels. No, I can't see well out of the mask. My tail is filled with pasta, since I can't stuff anything that thin with polyfil. Thanks to Chris's mom, for that suggestion XD
- Personal Thoughts:
- Despite what it looks like, this costume wasn't that hot, it was fairly airy. A lot of this costume was winged, so the construction is a bit of a hilarious disaster. I wanted to do trance version because I didn't want to do a rat mask lawl. Loved the shit out of our FF9 group. Thank you to Carly for all her helpful input!
