About this Costume
Construction Details:
HNNNGHHH. Here we go. Shirt: Satin lining (for breath and the fact I needed something light!). Vest: 2-toned poly satin, crafted without pattern, design painted onto fabric. Pants: 2-toned poly satin. FLY AND CARRIER FOR THE WIN. First time making zip/button-up pants :'D Coat: Modified pattern (drafted collar! :] ) on 2-toned poly satin and lining. Lace is a combination of everything gold in fashion district and spraypaint, haha. The feathers were arranged to fit the sleeves, and the roses were colored to fit the scheme. Cape: 2-toned poly satin based with organza (HATE THIS FABRIC NOW) lining to keep light weight. Draped on a dress form for custom fit. Hat: HNNGHHHH. Found a template out of light needle-point and wire and customized it following Lynn McMaster's pattern for -some- historical accuracy. Feathers are hand-dyed marvels from Ruby Raven. Binding is a series of elastic and hook and eyes. Followed tutorial from ninjagal6 on DA. Things I didn't make (XD): Gloves (standard military issue gloves), socks (yeahno.), and shoes (folklorico boots from Mexico. Don't ask haha)
Personal Thoughts:
I labeled this as 'hard' just because there was SO MUCH TO DO FOR ONE COSPLAY. ergheirhi;; But it was worth it :] This IS the biggest labor of love I ever invested in a cosplay. Usually out of laziness and rushed efforts I never line or interface cosplays, but I lost major sleep and decided to really give it my all. Initially this was made to do a masquerade skit with my Miku (hence all the time put into this...) but unfortunately she was unable to compete the day of and my walk-on (whichIdon'treallywanttorememberthankyou) ensued. But yes. Everything is either lined, interfaced, fray checked, French seamed, or a combination or any of these. There's a LOT but I'm really proud of how this came out and realize now that when a lot of time is dedicated to something, beautiful results can be produced. This cosplay will always have a special place in my heart. (And everyone who called me Lelouch, please go get your vision checked >__< ). BIG THANK YOU!!: Patrick, Elvin, and Marni Imagery for these AMAZING photos (I got so excited I had to put some up, but there are more to come!!), crazedboar for all your verbal support, and to EVERYONE who complimented/took the time to talk to me in this. I really appreciate your words and kind comments!! ;w; Also, dedicated to my nighttime Miku, and I look forward to wearing this with you. :]

Styling Notes
THANK YOU WAHIBA FOR STYLING THIS AND GETTING THE BANGS OUT OF MY FACE. xD Unfortunately the styling fizzled out after wearing the hat for so long, but it looked much better than had I styled it, haha.
