Construction Details:

This was a fun costume that I actually had a part in making for once. Lisu made the skirt using a PSP for size reference and we took an xl shirt to fit Filia's massive jubblies and added huge cuffs and made it fit. The waist band was this craft foam and velcro.

Personal Thoughts:

SHORT SKIRT AND LOOONNNGGG HAIR.

It was really great to have a chance to do Filia and hang out with the SkullGirls crew. The tattoo they were handing out at AX is still going strong on my thigh.

Styling Notes

The wig was an interesting project. Rofltrain grabbed a craft foam helmet from Michael's and we poked wire through it to make the base for Samson. After that he used expanding foam to get the correct shape ontop of the wire. The spikes were carved out of expanding foam as well and attached later. Once dry he spray painted the entire thing black and I got to work.

I got 4 cheapo extension from Sally's and glued each bit on carefully with a mix of mostly elmer's glue and a bit of water. I destroyed an old bob cut wig and used the top for the head and the under part as the back of Samson's head. His teeth are craft foam and his eyes are lenses Lisu popped out of his Simon glasses and painted red. Next time I want to find a better way to attach the wig fibers because it looked kinda icky and I want to make Samson's tentacles detachable for easy transport.
