Construction Details:

Ivan is my favorite character from Golden Sun and I knew I had to cosplay him. I made the pants with some burgundy broadcloth fabric and a pajama pants pattern, which I used just to make sure I got the shape of the pants right. The pants are kind of big since I've always thought that Ivan's pants were really comfortable and perfect for both traveling and lounging around. The purple top is a purple knit turtleneck dress that I found and hemmed. The topmost layer was made by Arcanestatic on cosplay.com He made it with jersey knit fabrics (and I can't recall what fabric the yellow is). I made the prop out of PVC piping and I curved the top with heat and then painted with Krylon spraypaint. I died some cotton piping cording with brown RIT dye for Ivan's belt and then I painted styrofoam balls. I carved holes into them and glued it together. The center piece moves so that I can put it on and take it off without too much hassle.

Styling Notes

I recycled the wig from my Rin and Honey costumes and since I wasn't cosplaying them again, I cut up the wig some more and I added the ahoge.
