Construction Details:

So back in the fall I learned from a few friends of mine at school that they were planning a Howl's Moving Castle group @ Anime Boston this year. I was invited to join, and so I decided to cosplay Markl. And I'm so glad I did!! The costume itself was pretty simple. I took a vest pattern and modded it a bit to fit the right cut. The only fabric I could find in the right colour was broadcloth, and as a result... It was thin. Really thin. So I had to not only line the vest, but the shorts as well. Which was a very new experience. Tie was made with some red scraps, and the purse pattern was drafted by myself. It's quite roomy, I can hold quite a bit in there. :] Wig is my Milo/Italy wig that was washed and re-styled.

Personal Thoughts:

Had an absolute blast in this costume/cosplay group. We all had so much fun, and the reactions we got from con-goers was so positive. Made my con, no doubt.
