Construction Details:

The skirt for the dress is actually based off of a petticoat for a short soda fountain waitress skirt. I just cut each circle to the length where each layer was to sit. The dress is casa satin lined with a mixture of satin and cotton lining. The roses were individually stenciled on (stencil design created by Evanae based off of close-ups of the dress in the anime) using acrylic paint mixed with a fabric medium so it would bend with the fabric, not crack, and be able to be ironed. Necklace strung with beads from the fashion district in downtown LA.

Personal Thoughts:

So much effort to prep this outfit, but I have fun wearing it! The wig...is huge.
