Construction Details:

I used a pattern for a sleeveless button-up top for the top. I modified the bottom into the points and rounded out the back. I used bias tape for the edges-- small for the sleeves and collar, and larger for the hem.


The sleeves were free handed and I made the applique from felt. I used this felting tool I had to fasten the cat features onto the panel. I had a little trouble with getting the sizing right for my arms. I settled with sewing some elastic on the insides.

The accessories were made by my husband out of Sculpey and craft foam. The headphones were based around a tutorial for the Vocaloid headphones. For the colored pieces we used some plastic and painted it with a translucent paint so you could see them light up. We used some mini LED lights from the wedding section at Joann and taped them in when it was time for use. Originally I had them glued onto a headband, but with the hair clips and the barrettes being slightly too large (go me for not finishing everything until I had to wear it) so I had to go back to the hotel room and figure something else out. We decided to take the headphones off the headband and glue about 5 bobby pins to each one and just stuck them into my wig. It wasn't great, but it worked pretty well for the time being!

Personal Thoughts:

I really love the Vocaloid designs, but I'm not really into that fandom so I just had to do the Lucky Star crossover. I can't rock the sea foam and wanted to possibly do more Kagami cosplay, so I decided to do a purple version instead.
