Construction Details:

I used a McCall's pattern that allowed you to make your own custom designed evening gown, and it just so happened that one of them resembled Venus's dress very closely! I refused to use an ugly bright yellow satin for the dress since I thought it deserved better, so I instead went with a gold crepe for the base of the dress, a sheer gold crepe for the top layer of the dress, and matching ribbons for the shoulder straps. I'm quite happy with how it drapes and flows, much better than I anticipated. The bow was made with the same gold crepe, I just had to focus more on the shape of the bow rather than making it and "actual" hair bow lol, and replaced her bright red hair flower with a softer pink one. The wig was a super lucky find on Ebay because it's the perfect matching color to the dress, and is very soft. SSFSeiyaKou made the beautiful matching necklaces for everyone!

Personal Thoughts:

It was sewn in one day, so any strange tugging or sitting of the fabric is probably due to my rush to finish it. I was very happy to wear this with such a pretty assortment of princesses, and my two pretty Moons!
