Construction Details:

Adora gave me permission to modify her old costume, last worn at Anime Expo 2007, and boy did I make a looot of changes. lol XD;; I made the yellow top more fitted, shortened the length, hand sewed metal snaps for the closure on the side, and made the sleeves more like cap sleeves. I modified the skirt so it sits on my hips, made the overall length shorter, had to take out the invisible zipper, and hand sew a new one back in. The only other original piece from the costume is the braided cord belt, though I fixed the ends to make it look neater. EVERYTHING thing else from the green/red fabric pieces on the costume, to the hand painted shoes have been replaced and/or is new. I made the pendant necklace out of index cards and leftover gold vinyl from my Anemone costume, because I am cheap and lazy like that. TL;DR I enjoy modding the shit outta costumes to the point where I should have made the damn thing myself out of scratch. XD

Personal Thoughts:

Aww man, I love this costume despite the goofy wig and feeling half naked the entire time because of the whole midriff thing. XD; People have a hard time believing that it's an uncomfortably warm costume to wear, as the yellow fabric for the top/skirt is not breathable, and the darling shoes make my feet numb after a few hours. lol

I'm so glad Eurobeat King for making it happen!

Styling Notes

I wanted something that wasn't totally in-your-face orange considering my tan skin, and the autumn orange worked nicely! I did have to do some trimming up in the back, take wefts from the nape of the wig cap to handsew in for her long side bangs, and ugh, the front bangs... I was really apprehensive about styling the bangs because tbh, her hairstyle is really stupid. STUPID ANIME HAIR. SHIT DOES NOT WORK LIKE THAT IRL OKAY.

Wig Review

I love the quality and thickness of their wigs, it was easy to straighten out and style. The only gripe I have is I wish their wigs weren't so shiny, it looks kinda bad with flash photography.
