Construction Details:

These costumes were created based on Morning Musume's single Nanchatte Renai. For the black dress, we used bubble organza. It was amazingly easy to work with and the outcome was exactly what we were wanting. The dress is lined with simple black cotton, which the visable bloomers are also made out of. It has a simple black belt just above the waistline. The white shirts all varied girl to girl. Linlin's top was a simple flowy sleeve. I want to redo the sleeves for mine when I find the material that I'm searching for. The hats are my absolute favorite part of this costume. They are white straw doll hats that were spray painted with black glossy paint. Large black ribbons were added to the left hand side of the brim. Each girl decorated the underside of their hat. Mine includes silver, black, and black and white ribbons, as well as strips of bubble organza.
