Construction Details:

Fire Emblem is such a fun strategy game series. The first one I played was Rekka no Ken, so I decided to cosplay Lady Lyndis, the lead female character in that game. This costume is now retired. I made the dress from scratch using a thick blue cotton fabric and modifying a long dress pattern. I decided on using a shiny gold lame fabric for all the gold details because I thought it would make the costume a little more flashy and vibrant. Dark red piping was added all along the gold trim, and I used scraps of navy blue fabric for other small details. The belts were made of different colors of ropes and leather cord braided together, and the other accessories were made of Sculpey clay. My sword was a cheap plastic katana and I painted the sheath and sword in an attempt to make it look nicer. I never got around to making a real version of the Mani Katti, although I would have liked to.
