Construction Details:

This was my first sewn project, made for Fanime 2006. I wanted something fairly simple. I had leftover pink and yellow flannel from Honey, and leftover turquoise fabric from Fai. I copied the shape from a dress I owned, and just widened the skirt a little to make it flare out a bit. The headband was the only thing I bought especially for this costume, and it was $0.79. Everything else I just had sitting around.

Personal Thoughts:

I have a soft spot for this costume, even though it's shoddily constructed and not entirely accurate and made of fabric that will wrinkle if you do so much as breathe on it. I met Maxwell Atoms (creator of The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy) at Wondercon 2007, and he liked my costume, which was SUPER AWESOME. Plus I got some swag for dressing up!
