Personal Thoughts:

I have to admit, this was one of those costumes that I did completely for my fiance (Anime_wench)... at least to start with. ^_^

We got tickets to the FIRST EVER Hatsune Miku concert to be performed in the US so of course we had to go in costume. MikuNoPolis 2011 was held at Anime Expo in LA and as you may well guess there were dozens of Miku's running around. In my humble opinion we were two of the most stunning Vocaloids there. ^_^

We were totally broke (after buying the tickets) for this costume so we had to get creative. The jacket was originally a doctor's coat which we tailored to fit me snugly. After that we attached the blue fabric (which we got as scrap fabric from Goodwill) with a really cool iron on glue stuff... basically it turned any regular old fabric into an iron on patch. The hard part was laying out the fabric so that it didn't look all pieced together. Next was the scarf, which was actually three different scarves from the Dollar Store sewn together. Lastly we got a really great wig from eBay! All in all it turned out great!

We took the photos last minute in a theater that a friend had access to. He had to turn the keys in the next day, so we rushed down at 12:30am and did an emergency photoshoot! For being majorly sleep deprived they came out waaaaay better than I was expecting! Major props to Anime_wench for her awesome work!
