Personal Thoughts:

Well, what can I say about this costume... First off I think Scott Summers is a total preppy jerkface. When my fiance and our friend Will said they wanted to pull out their X-men costumes I instantly wanted to join them. That is, however, until they told me I look just like Scott. /sigh

I have to say though, they were right. Slicking my hair back and donning a visor totally turned me into Cyclops! This costume was SUPER easy to pull together. The jacket was actually something out of my closet, as were the pants, shirt, and shoes...

The only "costume" item I actually needed was Cyclop's signature visor. We initially were looking at buying the official replica (because we're total nerds!) from Museum Replicas, but they sold out! The only ones we could find were over $200 on ebay. So we decided to make them ourselves!

Unfortunately I can't take credit for the design. We found a tutorial on youtube by janlorbes. Basically, with a dremmel, DVD case, and red file folder from Staples, we created our masterpiece!
